HOW TO BUY A WHEATGRASS JUICER

Based on my personal experience, it’s best to have a checklist similar to this when you shop for a juicer:

  • Purpose – Do you really need to buy a juicer? If you have not tasted wheatgrass before, do spend $2-$3 buying a shot of wheatgrass from the juice bar to make sure it is something you will drink over a sustained period of time. Most of the people I’ve spoken to enjoy wheatgrass juice, but there are some who don’t quite like the taste. If you’re like me, you may be pleasantly surprised!

  • Price – What is your budget? If you are buying a juicer for personal use, you may not want to spend too much money on it unless money’s not a problem. My first and only juicer has been a low-priced, manual one (as described previously), and I’ve found that it suits me well.

  • Product

-

Is the juicer easy to use and easy to clean? Does it have fine screens that have to be scrubbed? If you’re a busy person, you want to be able to use and  lean the juicer in the shortest time possible. Like most people, you’re not running a juice bar and can’t take half a day off to operate and clean the machine! Remember, if it’s not easy and fast to use, you won’t use it. Wheatgrass juice is best assimilated into your diet and as such, you should be drinking it every day or every alternate day so the juicer must be easy to use and to clean.

-

Is the juicer long-lasting? Will the juicer rust after some time? Drinking wheatgrass from a rusty juicer defeats the purpose!

  • Place – Do you have a place where the juicer  an be used conveniently? Does the juicer need to be clamped down thereby occupying valuable bench top space?  Can the juicer be stored away conveniently when not in use?
