Wheatgrass fibre cannot be digested by humans and needs to be juiced. A masticating juicer is highly recommended.
A masticating juicer works by chewing the fibres of vegetables and fruits, unlike centrifugal juicers that can degrade nutrients of vegetables and fruits.
There are two main types of masticating juicers: manual and electric. I use a manual one (as pictured here) because it’s cheaper and easier to maintain, clean, and setup.
Place a bunch of wheatgrass (about thumb size in diameter) into the top of the juicer and crank the handle clockwise.
Please do not run the pulp through the juicer another time as it may damage the juicer.
The juice should be consumed immediately after juicing. It will deteriorate after 30 minutes and be spoilt after 12 hours. |
